Jennie Ann Zelek, Berry- Frayer, 89, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017 at Bowers Hospice House.
Born April 19, 1928 in Lochgelly, WV she was one of nine children born to Naturalized Immigrants the late John Zelek and Agnes Liska, Zelek.
She is preceded in death by her first husband Howard Berry; brother John Zelek, sisters; Helen Biner, Loretta Zelek, Harriet Agnes Griges, Angelene Miaso, and Camilla Zelek.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Anne Berry and Libbie Bragg and husband, Paul Cashen of Cincinnati, OH, and Howard “Sonny” Berry and wife, Debbie of Oak Hill; Second husband; Stanley Frayer of Oak Hill, Step sons; Roger Frayer and wife, Connie, and Richard Frayer of Livonia, MI,; grandchildren; Kalie Berry Wilson and husband, James of Asheboro, NC, Jeremy Bragg of Cincinnati, OH, and Bradley Berry of Oak Hill; great grandchildren; Cole Bragg and soon to be born Maeson Adley-Ruth Wilson, sisters; Bertha Barnett of Huntington, WV, Stella Grablick of Lincoln Park Michigan and Sister in Law Stella Zelek of St. Albans, WV.
Jennie worked or New River Co. Company Stores early in her career and then retired from Sears Roebuck Co. She is a past member of the Summerlee Presbyterian Church and current member of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
Visitation for friends will be Tuesday, May 2, 2017 from 6;00 P.M. To 8:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at the St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Burial will follow at High Lawn Memorial Park.
Pall Bearers; Jeremy Bragg, Bradley Howard Berry, John Michael Zelek, Tim Berry, Bill Berry, and Joel Davis.
Jennie requests any gifts in lieu of flowers be directed to either St. Peter and Paul Catholic School or Summerlee Presbyterian Church.
