Jean Frances Lounge Birt , 80, of Scottsville, VA died on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at UVA Medical Center in Charlottesville, VA.
Born June 05, 1935 at Brockton, MA she was the daughter of the late Bernie and Gertrude Wynona Johnston Lounge.
She was a retired warehouse fork lift operator.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Beverly Marx and half-sister, Cindy
Jean is survived by her loving family which includes her husband, Thomas Lee Birt; two sons, Thomas Lee Birt, Jr. of San Francisco and Dennis James Birt of Scottsville, VA; two daughters, Lisa Marie Payne of Beckley and Lorna Jean Willis of Scottsville, VA; one sisters, Trudy Dube of Brockton, Mass.; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren
Funeral services will be on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Pastor Bryant White officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill.
Friends may call from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, July 17, 2015 at the funeral home.
Family members will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, PO Box 1000 Dept 142, Memphis TN 38101 990
