Janice Bolen Williams

Janice Marie Bolen Williams, 87, of Mount Hope, WV went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 9, 2012. Born September 1, 1924 at Mount Hope, WV, she was the daughter of the late William Wolsie and Elva Brown Bolen. She was the beloved wife of 63 years to the late Darrell "Budgie" Williams. She was also preceded in death by one son, David Williams, twin daughters, Jean Ann and Janet Sue Williams, a grandson, Gregory Williams, a sister, Mary Jo Bolen Stevens, and brothers, Bill Bolen and Fletcher Bolen. She was the loving mother of Darrell Williams and wife, Linda, Karen Adams and husband, Ken, and Tim Williams and wife, Jenny, and other survivors including eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild due in May, one sister, Lynette Bolen Alderman and one brother, Robert Wolsie Bolen and wife, Betty, three sisters-in-laws, Sonia Weeks, Shelia Williams, and Sharon Holstein and husband, Steve. She was a long time active member of the Woodhaven Free Will Baptist Church in Michigan where she sang in a trio and taught Sunday School. After retiring to West Virginia she made her home church, Bradley Free Will Baptist. She was a devoted homemaker, always there for her family and many friends. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A. M. Thursday, March 15, 2012 at Tyree Funeral Home in Mount Hope with Pastor Wayne Peters officiating. Burial will follow at Dock Lively Cemetery, Long Branch, WV. Friends may call from 6:00 PM until 8:00 P. M. on Wednesday evening, March 14, 2012 at Tyree Funeral Home in Mount Hope.
