Janice Aubrey Holstein Meredith

Janice Aubrey Canterbury Holstein Meredith, age 71, of Pax, WV passed away on Friday, May 8, 2009 at Bowers Hospice House, Beckley, WV. Born September 18, 1937 at Pax, WV, she was the daughter of the late Aubrey and Barbara Canterbury of Pax, WV. Janice and her husband Buck were owners of the “BuckStop” Store in Pax, WV for the past 22 years. Janice loved to fish with her Aunt Josephine Hughes of Pax, loved to garden and spend time with her family and especially loved her “Classic Cokes”. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Gene Haden Holstein of Elyria, OH., sister, Mitzi Cimino of Chrisman, Il., mother-in-law, Rachel Williams Meredith of Pax, WV She was the beloved wife of Larry “Bucky” Meredith of Pax, WV and mother of Wesley Holstein and his wife, Shirley of Grafton, OH and Kim Holstein Downing of Pax, WV. She is slso survived by two sisters, Connie Pearson and her husband, Howard of Oak Hill and Judy Barley and her husband, Paul of Maple Fork; two brothers,George Canterbury and his wife Donna of Maple Fork and Pat Canterbury and his wife Jill of Pax; grandchildren, Gina Kincaid of Pax, Jason (Katie) and Brandon Holstein of Grafton, WV, Chet and Tyler Downing of Pax, WV and great grandchildren, Alyssa Ludwick and Park Kincaid, both of Pax. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 11, 2009 at the Tyree Funeral Home Chapel, Mt. Hope with Rev. Doug Holley officiating. Burial will follow in Pax Community Cemetery at Pax, WV. Friends may call at the funeral home in Mt. Hope from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, May 10, 2009. Family members will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Janice’s memory to Bowers Hospice House, 454 Cranberry Drive, Beckley, WV 25801.
