Janet "Ginger" Elmore Markivich Estep, 71, of Oak Hill, WV died on Friday, September 19, 2008 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill after a long illness. Born July 31, 1937 in Fayette County, WV she was the daughter of the late Harold Waddell Elmore and Goldie Elmore Humphrey. Mrs. Estep was a member of the Smyrna Baptist Church, Smyrna, SC. She was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Edward Humphrey, Chicago and a stepson, Robert Paul Estep, Virginia. Survivors include her husband, Paul Estep; one son, Mark Andrew Markivich and wife, Renee, Franklin, Virginia; two daughters, Michelle Diane Willis and husband, Scott, Tallahassee, FL and Kathryn Lynn Ellison and husband, Kent, Oak Hill; two stepsons, Kenneth O'Brien Estep and wife, Michelle, Myrtle Beach, SC, Joseph Edward Estep, Murells Inlet, SC; nine grandchildren, Jennifer, Raven, Jeremy, Willis, Schale, Ty, and Kirby Markivich, Joshua, Marcus, and Jenna Ellison; one step grandchild, Robert Daniel Estep and five great grandchildren; eight brothers, Tommy Elmore, FL, Raymond Elmore and wife, Sarah, Princeton, Charles Elmore, William Elmore and wife, Janie, Kentucky; Kenneth Humphrey and wife, Alice, Scarbro; Robert Humphrey, Chicago, IL, Larry Humphrey, Scarbro, Harold Humphrey and wife, Barbara, TN; three sisters, Mary Alice Cote', Cindy Whitlow and husband, Jimmy, and Brenda Humphrey, all of Oak Hill; a very special relative, Jeanette Drennen, Oak Hill and her cargiver, Norsenia Damron, Oak Hill. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 23, 2008, at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel, Oak Hill, with Pastor Delmas Wolfe officiating. Burial will be at the Butcher-Estep Cemetery at Maysel, WV. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Tuesday. Family members will serve as pallbearers.
