Jane Ann Samuels Simms

Our loving mother and grandmother, Jane Ann Samuels Simms , 58, of Oak Hill, WV died on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at her home. Born February 26, 1955 at Oak Hill, WV she was the daughter of the late John R. and Dorothy Leffel Samuels. Jane was a homemaker and a former employee of Heck's Department Store, various other department stores and the Committee on Aging. She enjoyed gardening, collecting antiques and was very good at doing craft work. A brother, Johnny Samuels and two sisters, Alice Honaker and Brenda Hunter preceded her in death. Surviving are her loving family which includes two daughters, Lesley Simms of Fayetteville and Brittney Simms of Fayetteville; her loving ex-husband, Tommy Simms of Oak Hill; two brothers, David Samuels of Hampton, VA and Hugh Samuels of Kentucky; two sisters, Barbara Fuller of Virginia and Shella Smith of Virginia and one grandchild, Brynnlee Jackson of Fayetteville. She will be sadly missed by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Ernest Francis officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
