Jane Ellen Lattimer Dixon

Jane Ellen Lattimer Dixon, 90, of Beaufort, NC formerly of Oak Hill, WV died Friday, October 21, 2011 at Summerset Court, Newport, NC. Born July 6, 1921 in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Marian Johnson Lattimer. Her husband Ollie Dixon, Jr. and daughter Holley Jane Dixon preceded her in death. Mrs. Dixon was retired from Pinnacle Pet Supply in Oak Hill and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Scarbro Baptist Church, Winolia Chapter #59 O.E.S. of Mt. Hope and a life member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority. Survivors include two sons: Richard Lee Dixon and wife, Patricia of Millersville, MD and Robert “Bob” Dixon of Beaufort, NC and sister Carolyn Touhey of Tonawanda, NY. Also surviving are three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 26, 2011, at 2:00 p.m.at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel, Oak Hill with the Rev. Kenny Smith officiating. Burial will follow at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
