James F. Williams

James Floyd Williams , 84, of Packs Branch, WV died on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at Veterans Administration Hospital in Beckley, WV. Born September 21, 1925 at Pax, WV he was the son of the late Rev. James Samuel and Clara Meadows Williams. He was a World War II US Army veteran. Mr. Williams was a member of the Packs Branch Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Andrew Williams and Judson Williams and four sisters, Mildred Crowell, Rosa Morrison, Edna Conner and Mary Frances Williams preceded him in death. Survivors include wife, Rosie Mae Kessler Williams; on son, James F. Williams, II of Oak Hill; one daughter, Rosetta Perry and husband, Mark of Packs Branch; three sisters, Gloria Slimmer of Packs Branch, Edith Russell of Forest, VA and Hattie Roberts of Rockyford, CO and two grandchildren, Kenneth Price and Anthony Price both of Packs Branch. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends and by his caregiver, Crystal Lambert. Services will be on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Mount Hope with Pastor Sam Vance and Pastor James A. Williams officiating. Burial will be at Williams-Argabright Cemetery at Packs Branch. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home on Monday, June 21, 2010 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Nephews and great nephews will serve as pallbearers.
