James Monroe Wells

James Monroe Wells , 82, of Rupert, WV formerly of Bradley, WV passed away on Thursday, September 01, 2011 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV. Born May 07, 1929 at Killarney, WV he was the son of the late Marlin C. and Agnes Autumn Robinette Wells. He was a US Army veteran. A brother, Rev. J. Ralph Wells, niece, Rebecca Sue Altice and a nephew, Curtiss W. Martin preceded him in death. Survivors include sister-in-law, Wandalene Wells Gunter and husband, Fred of Piney View, niece, Norma Jean Martin of Mount Hope, and nephews, Ralph Marlin Wells and wife, Sylvia of Port Orange, FL, James Richard Wells and wife, Cindy of Scranton, PA and Steven Lee Wells and wife, Yvonne of Ramstein, German. Also surviving are several great nieces and nephews and his many friends at Autumn Way in Rupert. Funeral services will be on Saturday, September 3, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home,in Mount Hope with Pastor Fred Lovell officiating. Burial will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens., Prosperity with military graveside rites by VFW Post #3110. Friends may call two hours prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
