James Scott Thombs

James Scott Thombs , 48, of Oak Hill, WV died on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at his home. Born October 29, 1964 at Cleveland, OH he was the son of Edna Mae Bowens Thombs of Oak Hill, WV the late Albert Robert Thombs. He was a disabled carpenter. His companion, Tialisa Smith; brother, Leroy Thombs and two sisters, Ruth Mae Thombs and Irma Cooper preceded him in death. In addition to his mother, James is survived by his siblings, Joyce Smith of Painezille, OH, Richard Thombs of Oak Hill, Constance Payne and husband, Ron of Lochgelly and Ronald Thombs and wife, Kimberly of Oak Hill ; brother-in-law, Michael Cameron; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Pastor Brandon Smith officiating. Burial will be at Bibb Cemetery, Gatewood. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
