James T. Ross

Mr. James Thomas Ross, 83, of Crestview, FL formerly of Oak Hill, WV died Saturday, May 4, 2005, at his home following a long illness. Born December 24, 1921 at Coal Run, Fayette County, WV he was the son of the late Arthur and Cora Lee Ross. Mr. Ross was retired from the United States Air Force as a Chief Master Sergeant having served during World War II, the Korean Conflict and during the Vietnam Era. He was also a retired juvenile probation officer for Fayette County, WV. He was a member of the Emanuel Baptist Church, Crestview, FL. He was preceded in death by his first wife, June Elvera Smith Ross; one son, Ralph Arthur Ross; three brothers, Jerry, Alan and Toney Ross and two sisters, Jean Summers and Maxine Melton. James is survived by his wife, Dorothy Ross; son, James T. Ross and wife, Cheri, of Oak Hill, WV; two step-sons, David Logan of Virginia and Donnie Logan of Florida; one step-daughter, Lisa Logan of Florida; three brothers, Jack Ross of North Carolina, Steve Ross of Virginia and Manuel Ross of Maryland; two sisters, Romaine Ervin of South Carolina and Wyone Cremeans of Maryland; one grandchild, McKenzie Lee Ross of Oak Hill; ten step-grandchildren, Robert, Lea and Ashley Reveria; Dustin, Blake, Jennifer, David and Amanda Logan and Vinnie and Ross Sabino and two step-great grandchildren. In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Ross was cremated. A service will be held at a later date.
