James Wilburn Polk, age 81, of Oak Hill, WV, passed away on March 7, 2023. Born May 24, 1941, he was the son of the late Marvin R. Polk and Ettie Keffer Brown.
James loved fishing, watching football, and hunting for ginseng.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by siblings; Roger Donaldson and Dolly Donaldson.
He is survived by loving wife Sandy Polk, children; Kathy Wilson (Charles), Jeana Massey (Leon), Kim Fazen-Lee, Debbie Mineweaser(Bo), grandchildren; Jamie Asbury (Marvetta), Mathew Asbury (Jessica), Charles "CJ" Fazen (Cynthia), Jonathan Wilson, Ashley Mineweaser (Kris), Julie Berger (Ryan), Michelle Lawson (David), 8 great grandchildren, beloved furbaby, Suzie, siblings; Frances Bittinger, Bertha Polk, Wanda Henry, Shelby Sebasto, and Angie Malick.
In keeping with James' wishes he is to be cremated, a Time of Remembrance will be held May 20th, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope, WV.
