James Franklin Plumley, 91, of Minden, WV passed away Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV.
Born May 9, 1927 in Sun, WV he was the son of the late Hazel Plumley and Lannie Smith Newton, and step father Edgar Newton.
James was a United States Marine veteran who fought and served in World War II. He worked for the West Virginia Division of Highways on the bridge crew and was of the Baptist Faith.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Mildred Lewandowski Plumley.
Those left to cherish his memory include three loving daughters, Shirley Sargent of Alabama, Debbie Morrissey of Minden, and Heather Plumley of Ohio.
In keeping with James wishes his body will be cremated with a committal service 1:00 pm Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens. Burial will follow.
