James D. Jones, Jr.

James D. "Smokey" Jones, Jr., 42, of Wriston, WV died on Friday, September 24, 2010 at his home after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Born July 06, 1968 he was the son of Dorothy B. Skaggs Jones of Dempsey and the late James D. "Jimmy" Jones, Sr. He worked in the construction industry and was an avid outdoorsman enjoying fishing, hunting and four-wheeling. He was also a huge WVU fan. Survivors besides his mother, include two sisters, Rebecca S. Landis of Wriston and Dawn M. Jones James of Frametown; four nephews, Wesley Jones, Troy Foster, Frank Hutchens and Hunter Jones. Also several aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him very much. He also leaves behind several special friends: Kim, John, Eric, Petey, Rick and Mark. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel, Oak Hill with Rev. James Pittman officiating. Burial will follow at the Robertson Cemetery, Wriston.
