James Howard Hatcher

James Howard Hatcher , 86, of Mount Hope, WV died on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, WV. Born September 15, 1925 at Thayer, WV he was the son of the late James Edward and Anna Louise Foose Hatcher. He was a retired timberman and heavy equipment repairman. James loved hunting and fishing in New River. A son, James Lewis Hatcher died in Vietnam in 1970 and he was also preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Isabelle Aurdnik and June Arrington. Survivors include his wife, Myrtle Parsley Hatcher, daughter, Karen L. Muetzel of Columbus, OH, son, Ronnie Hatcher of Columbus, OH, grandson, Brian M. Gallagher of Columbus, OH and three great grandchildren. Graveside rites and committal services will be on Friday, December 2, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at Hilltop Cemetery in Hilltop with Louis E. Wooten officiating. Burial will follow. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Mount Hope Baptist Temple, PO Box 466, Mount Hope WV 25880.
