James Herald Drennen, Sr., 82, of Oak Hill, WV died on Sunday, April 19, 2009 at the home if his daughter, Sheila, in Morristown, AZ. Born January 06, 1927 at Drennen, WV he was the son of the late Lula Summers Drennen and James Franklin Drennen, Sr. He was a retired crane operator for Elkem Metals in Alloy. Mr. Drennen was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, Oak Hill and the AFL-CIO. He served in the US Army during World War II. His wife, Gennie Lou Parsons Drennen preceded him in death. Survivors include two sons, James H. Drennen, Jr. and wife, Jennifer Lynn of Rainelle and Dale Lee Drennen and wife, Connie of Salem, VA; daughter, Sheila Gaye Jones and husband, Mike of Morristown, AZ; brothers, Lee Drennen of Summersville and Bruse Drennen of Toledo, OH; sister, Patricia "Pat" Connell of Summersville; six grandchildren and one great grandchild. Services will be on Saturday, April 25, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. at Calvary Baptist Church in Oak Hill with Rev. Michael Jones and Rev. David Richardson officiating.
