James F. Coots

James F. Coots “Buddy” passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at Mt. Carmel Medical Center. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Shirley (Aliff) Coots; sons, James Randall (Amy) of Sommersville, W.V. and Darryl Wayne (Joy) of Pleasantville, Ohio; daughter, Teresa (Joe) Paoletta of Brunswick, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Amy, Emily, Abby, Dominic, Nicholas, Tyler, Amber, Aurora and Autumn; sisters, Tootie (Bill) Snyder and Louise Coots; brothers-in-law, Leon Thomas and Mark (Kathy) Aliff; many nieces and nephews. James was born March 15, 1934 to the late Reverend H. F. and Ida Coots. Jim is a former employee of Welch Plastics for 19 years and retired from Johnson Controls after 17 years. Jim and Shirley are members of the Blessings Memorial Church where the family suggests that in lieu of flowers contributions be made in his memory (Blessings Memorial Church P. O. Box 652 Lancaster, OH. 43130 or to The American Heart Association or Parkinson's Association in your area). Visitation will be Thursday, May 20th at the O.R. Woodyard Co. Chapel, 1346 S. High Street in Columbus. Additional visitation will be 12 noon until service time at 2 p.m. Friday at the Tyree Funeral Home, 701 Highway 21, Mt. Hope, W.Va. Pastor James W. Vanover officiating.
