James D. "Boss Man" Wolfe

James D. "Boss Man" Wolfe , 79, of Oak Hill, WV died on Thursday, August 9, 2012 at his home. Born September 11, 1932 at Pax, WV he was the son of the late Roy H. and Elsie Dove Strickland Wolfe. He was a retired coal miner having with 46 years service. Mr. Wolfe was a member of the Gentry Missionary Baptist Church He was a farmer, an avid hunter and a member of the UMWA. He served as a paramedic with the US Army during the Korean Conflict. A brother, William R. Wolfe preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Peggy L. Yarber Wolfe, two sons, Darrell W. Wolfe and wife, Deborah of Oak Hill and Timmy A. Wolfe and wife, Melinda of Oak Hill, and sisters, Mary Moore of Reynoldsburg, OH and Maxine Elder of Oak Hill. He is also survived by three grandchildren, James R. Wolfe, Benjamin D. Wolfe and wife, Crystal and Cody M. Wolfe and three great grandchildren, Dustin, Maddie and Tyler. Funeral services will be on Monday, August 13, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Pastor Bill Drennen officiating. Burial will be at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Oak Hill.
