James Edward Asbury Sr.

James Edward Asbury , Sr. 81, of Page, WV died on Sunday, May 17, 2015 at his home.
Born November 06, 1933 at Pax, WV he was the son of the late Wilburn Hansford Asbury and Thelma Rae Coleman Asbury Ingles and stepson of the late,Okey Herbert Ingles.
He was a retired coal mine electrician
James was a member of the Page Baptist. He had a ministry of singing and playing gospel music and was a lay minister. He was a gifted craftsman.
He was a member of Oak Hill Lodge No. 120 A.F. and A.M.
His wife, Priscilla Crumb Asbury; daughter, Charmane Delana Asbury; three sisters, Barbara Ann Williams, Agatha Bishop and Gloria Aquino; and three brothers, Azel Asbury, Julian Asbury and Willis Asbury preceded him in death.
Survivors include one son, James E. Asbury, Jr. of Oak Hill; and two brothers, Wilbur J. Asbury of Oak Hill and Larry Allen Asbury of Carlsbad, NM.
Also surviving are three grandchildren, Misty Barlow of Princeton, Amanda Bingler and husband, Chad of Charlottesville, VA and Charlene and husband Jeremy of Huntington; and four great grandchildren, Abbigail Presley, Amelia Bingler, Timothy Bingler and Ryland Barlow.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at 6:30 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Delmas Wolfe officiating. Friends may call from 5:30 P.M. until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Graveside rites and committal will then be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill.
