Jadie Nichols

Jadie Nichols, 87, of Brunswick, Ohio formerly of Mount Hope, WV passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 with his loving family by his side. Born April 9, 1925 at Clio, West Virginia, he was the son of Henry D. and Maggie Strickland Nichols. Jadie was preceded in death by his loving wife, the former Colaine McLain, a native of Mount Hope, WV; and siblings, Leonard, Elmer, Noah and Georgia. He is survived by his daughter, Dreama (Larry) Brant of Greenville, SC; his son, David (Patricia) Nichols of Brunswick, OH; sister, Nora (Dennis) Martin of Piney View, WV; brother, Robert (Barbara) Nichols of Olena, OH; grandchildren, Bethany (Ron) Tucceri of Kingsport, TN, Richard (Susan) Fischer of Greenville, SC, Staci (Todd) Kreiser of Greenville, SC, Dusty Lynn Nichols of Brunswick, OH and Kelly Nichols of Brunswick, OH; two great grandchildren, Brady and Nathan Fischer. Jadie was a US Army Veteran who served in WWII, Pacific Theater; earned two Bronze Stars and the Purple Heart. He was a member of the UAW #1005, attended Polaris Christian Church, loved gardening, yard sales, flea markets and his family most of all. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope with Rev. Carlyle Blomme officiating. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity, WV. Friends may call from 6 PM until 8 PM Monday evening at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope.
