Jackie Ray Deal, Sr.

Jackie Ray Deal Sr., 69, of Oak Hill, WV died on Friday, May 10, 2013 at his home. Born April 8, 1944 at Willis Branch, WV, he was the son of the late Abbie and Hazel Howard Deal. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Eugene Deal and his sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Claude Brown. He was married for 38 years to his wonderful wife and loved spending time with his granddaughter. He attended Fayetteville Worship Center, and was an employee of Appalachian Tire for many years and worked at ACE Whitewater and Lundale Farms. Survivors include his wife, Patricia Wriston Deal; two sons, Christopher Deal and Jackie Ray Deal, II of Oak Hill and his precious granddaughter, MacKenzie Deal of Oak Hill; three brothers, Ronnie Deal and wife, Iris of Sand Branch, Charles Deal of Beckley and Kenneth Deal of Florida; three sisters, Pat Young of Beckley, Bonnie Deal of Boston, MA and Mary Alice Cox and husband, Randy of Senoria, GA. Services will be 2:00 P. M. Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Pastor James Bailey and Pastor Gary McGuire officiating. Burial will follow at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Friends may call from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday evening, May 14, 2013 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be James Young, Ricky Young, Junior Donnally, Barry Brown, Tommy Brown and Jerry Adkins.
