Jack Ray Ridenhour, 76, of Oak Hill, WV, passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2010 at Charleston Area Medical Center Memorial Division after a long illness. Born November 28, 1933, at Concord, NC, he was the son of the Late Carl and Faye Krimminger Ridenhour. He was preceded in death by a brother, Max K. Ridenhour. Jack retired in 1988 after 30 years with the Federal Bureau of Investigation working as an Investigative Assistant. He then began working at BBT in Charleston, WV until his retirement. He also worked at Laidley Field in Charleston, WV. He was a member of the Oak Hill United Methodist Church where he served as an usher. Jack was a member of the Plateau Club in Oak Hill, and was a past member of the Elks Club in Charleston, WV. He was a US Navy Veteran. He is survived by his wife of 49 ½ years, Barbara of Oak Hill, his two daughters, Cornelia R. Begley and her husband Bob, Cynthia F. Green and her husband , Merritt both of Oak Hill, his three grandchildren, Holly Elizabeth Green, Jordon Robert Begley, and Nathaniel Ray Begley all of Oak Hill, a great granddaughter, Adalay Elizabeth Garten, sister-in-law, Betty Jean Ridenhour of Jacksonville, Florida, three nephews and a niece. A Memorial Service will be held at the Oak Hill United Methodist Church in Oak Hill, WV Saturday, October 23, at 11:00 AM, with Dr. Rev. Charles Miller and Rev. Ellen File officiating. Interment will be at the Oakwood Cemetery in Concord, NC at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family requests a memorial contributions in his name be made to the Oak Hill United Methodist Church Scholarship Fund, 250 Main Street, Oak Hill, WV 25901.
