Jack G. Lewis

Jack Gay Lewis, 80, of Oak Hill, WV died on Sunday, January 03, 2010 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, WV. Born October 11, 1929 at Friars Hill, WV he was the son of the late Rev. John Calvin and Elizabeth Jean Bryant Lewis. He was a retired electrician for Bluestone Electric. Mr. Lewis was a member of the Oak Hill United Methodist Church. He was an avid fan of the Washington Redskins and WVU Mountaineers. He so enjoyed watching their ballgames. His sister, Arlene Knicely and two brothers, James Robert Lewis and John Carl Lewis preceded him in death. Survivors include wife, Jean Rae McDaniel Lewis; two sons, Gary Lewis and wife, Tonya of Mount Hope and John Lewis of Oak Hill; one brother, David Hawks of Pottsville, PA, one sister, Marguerite Lewis Wyatt of Lewisburg and one grandchild, Seairia Meadows of Villa Rica, GA. Services will be on Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill. With Pastor Jerry Bush and Rev. Gary Williams officiating. Entombment will be at High Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, Oak Hill. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Tuesday, January 5, 2010 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
