Jack L. Hill

Jack L. Hill, 78, of Oak Hill, WV died Saturday, June 26, 2010 at his home. Born March 6, 1932 at Carlisle, WV, he was the son of the late Gervil Lee and Don Mildred Bennett Hill. He was a retired produce manager from the A & P Tea Company, Oak Hill and was a member of Oak Hill Lodge #120, A. F. & A. M. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Yvonne Lee Hill Abraham; and a grandson, Eric Keith Campbell. Survivors include his wife, Jacqueline "Jackie" Ammar Hill; two daughters, Deborah Awny and husband, Joe of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Donna Campbell and husband, Keith of Hilltop; four grandchildren, Charles Abraham, Zachary Awny, Makayla Campbell Snyder, and Ryan Campbell; one great-grandchild, Alexander Snyder. Services will be 2 PM Tuesday at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with the Rev. Houston Boothe officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: Calvary Baptist Church, 1424 Main St. East, Oak Hill, WV 25901. Pallbearers will be Vernon Sears, Eddie Campbell, Basil Campbell, Jeff Elmore, Joe Zachowitz, Bob Errington and an honorary pallbearer Russell Backus.
