Jack Christian

Jack Christian, 80, of Springboro, OH formerly of Oak Hill, WV died on Monday, December 19, 2005 at Hillspring of Springboro following a long illness. Born June 07, 1925 at Richwood, WV he was the son of the late Mansford Christian and Ora Mae Ayers Christian Lawden. He was retired from the C&P Telephone Company with 30 years service. Mr. Christian was a member of the Oak Hill Baptist Church, Oak Hill, WV. He was a 30 year US Army veteran having served in World War II. His wife, Betty Cecelia Hess Christian, a son, William M. "Billy" Christian and two sisters, Geraldene Poole and Madeline Haynes preceded him in death. Survivors include daughter, Rowena R. Conner of Springboro, OH; one brother, Gene Christian of Myrtle Beach, SC; two grandchildren, Wm. Scott Conner and Kimberly Curren; and two great grandchildren, Kelsie Conner and Christian Conner. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill, WV on Thursday, December 22, 2005, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Services will be on Thursday, December 22, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Rev. David White officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill WV with military graveside rites by VFW Post #3110, Oak Hill, WV.
