Jack Walter Bond , Sr., 74, of Stanaford, WV died on Sunday, May 29, 2011 at his home. Born November 21, 1936 at Portsmouth, OH he was the son of the late Jack Stewart and Juanita Bell Bond Bond. Mr. Bond was a member of the Bradley Church of God. He was a former coal miner having worked at Winding Gulf and was a former recreation foreman for the city of Beckley. He was a member of the U.M.W.A. and a life member of the Disabled Veterans. He served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. Survivors include a daughter, Juanita Virginia Morris of Beckley, one son, Jack W. Bond, Jr. of Bradley, sister, Patricia Sharon Williams of Asheville, NC, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Bond was created.
