Jack Clarence Bishop , 78, of St. Albans, WV died on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at Thomas Memorial Hospital in South Charleston, WV.
Born February 15, 1937 at Mount Hope, WV he was the son of the late Clarence and Charlotte Vickers Bishop.
He was a retired maintenance mechanic for the John Amos Power Plant at Winfield
Jack was a member of the Nitro Lodge No. 135 A.F. and A.M. and was a US Army veteran.
A brother, Jerry Bishop preceded him in death as did the grandparents who raised him.
Survivors include his wife, Rita Kay Massey Bishop; son, Terry L. Bishop and wife, Lisa of Dunbar; daughter, Deborah A. Miller of Red House; stepson, Rick L. McClung and wife, Paula of Oak Hill; and stepdaughter, Lori A. Richardson and husband, Chris of Columbia, SC.
He is also survived by two sisters, Betty Phelps and husband, Larry of Tierra Verde, FL and Maxine Caudill and husband, Ed of Marion, OH; twelve grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be on Friday, May 29, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Pastor Richard Allen officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Friends may call from 12:00 Noon until service time on Friday at the funeral home.
