James Willis Stover, 95, of Waverly, OH formerly of Bradley, WV died on Monday, December 01, 2003 at Pike County Hospital in Waverly, OH following a brief illness. Born November 08, 1908 at Cirtsville, WV he was the son of the late Amos and Mary Annie Maynor Stover. He was a retired Teacher/Principal for Raleigh County with 44 years service in the field of education. Mr. Stover was a charter member of the Bradley Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by a sister, Inez Spangler and brothers, Carl and Okey Stover. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Dew Stover. They had celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on May 31, 2003. Son: Udy Glenn Stover and wife, Judy, of Chillicothe, OH Grandson: Brett Stover of Cincinnati, OH Granddaughter: Nancy Davenport and husband, James, of Kingston, NY Great grandchldren: Kate, Jay and Will of Kingston, NY Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope on Thursday, December 4, 2003, from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm. Services will be on Thursday, December 4, 2003, at 1:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope in with Rev. Jerry Cook officiating. Entombment will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity WV.
