J.C. Prather , 68, of Oak Hill, WV died on Tuesday, January 09, 2018 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV.
Born March 10, 1949 at Ingram Branch, WV he was the son of the late Virgil and Juanita J. Prather Ingram.
J.C. was employed as a heavy equipment transporter. He was a member of the Day Star Worship Center, Kilsyth and a US Army veteran.
Surviving are his loving and devoted family which includes wife, Geraldine "Sissy" Dolin Prather; son, Jason Christopher Prather and wife, Promise of Mount Hope; daughter, Tabath Frame and husband, Daniel of Oak Hill; two grandchildren, Ashley Frame and Noah Frame; and an uncle Wayman Prather of Hopewell, VA.
Graveside rites and committal will be on Friday, January 12, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at Wriston Cemetery in Mossy with Rev. Larry Humphrey officiating and with military graveside rites by Oak Hill VFW 3110. Burial will follow. There will be no visitation.
