Irene Faye Burgess Stephenson

Irene Faye Burgess Stephenson, age 83, of Oak Hill, WV passed away on Friday, June 14, 2012 at Hill Top Nursing and Rehab Center. Born December 20, 1928 at Sanger, WV, she was the daughter of the late Shirley George and Ida Florence Burgess. Irene was a retired clerical worker for the Department of Health and Human Services and was a member of the Jones Avenue First Church of God. She was preceded in death by a son Rodney Wayne Stephenson, sisters, Bessie G. Treadway Watts, Opal B. Crouch, Marie Garten and Edeth May Sutphin, by brothers, Vernon S., Leonard C., Robert D. and Paul Burgess. Survivors include a niece Helene Richards and husband Eddie of Pratt, WV, great niece; Kelly Keys of Hansford, WV and one sister Sadie Ruth Hypes. A graveside service with burial to follow will be held at 2:00 PM. Sunday, June 17, 2012 at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Pea Ridge Road, Oak Hill, WV with Rev. Ralph Shupe officiating.
