Idris James Martin

Idris James Martin , 77, of Oak Hill, WV died on Thursday, October 07, 2010 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, WV. Born March 28, 1933 at Charleroi, PA he was the son of the late Idris Augustas and Ellen Aitken Martin. Mr. Martin was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ, Monongahela, PA. He was a retired purchasing agent having worked for Long-Airdox, Simmons-Rand and Lee Norse. He served in the Coast Guard attaining the rank of Radioman 2nd. His wife, Carolyn Joan Rouse Martin and a son, Kenneth Lee Martin preceded him in death. Survivors include two sons, Douglas Martin of Oak Hill and Steven Martin of Pennsylvania and one sister, Virginia Lee Martin of Pennsylvania. Graveside rites and committal service will be on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens in Oak Hill. Burial will follow. There will be no visitation.
