Herman D. "Shorty" Cochran

Herman Delano "Shorty" Cochran, 69, of Glen Jean, WV died on Monday, November 27, 2006 at his home. Born December 12, 1936 at Rainelle, WV he was the son of Eva Berry Cochran of Oak Hill, WV and the late Herman A. Cochran. He was a retired supervisor for the Santa Fe Railroad. Mr. Cochran was a member of the Gatewood Baptist Church, Gatewood, WV. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Lane Hartman Cochran; two daughters, Margaret Hildebrand and husband, Gerry of Oak Hill and Debbie Fleming and husband, Roy of Oak Hill; two sons, Raymond Cochran and wife, Marilyn of Barstow, CA and Aaron Cochran and wife, Maggie of Elyria, OH; eleven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Friday, December 1, 2006, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Rev. Harry Fuller will officiate the services on Friday, December 1, 2006 at 7:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with cremation to follow.
