Henry "Hank" Bailess

Henry "Hank" Melvin Bailess , 63, of Edmond, WV died on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, WV of an apparent heart attack.

Born May 26, 1953 at Edmond, WV he was the son of the late Herbert "Dick" and Virginia Tully Bailess.

Hank was a 1971 graduate of Ansted High School He retired after 42 years as a coal mine equipment operator and was a member of the UMWA. For the past sixteen years he served as Pastor of the Beauty Mountain Baptist Church.

A brother, Winford Bailess and sister, Margaret Collins preceded him in death.

Surviving are his loving family which includes wife, Ann Marie Harris Bailess; son, Jonathan Bailess and wife, Kaitlynn of Hico; daughter, Lydia Rachel Bailess-Mapes of Edmond; and sisters, Lois Holliday and husband, Teddy of Richmond, VA, Frances Childress of Tampa, FL and Donna Bailess of West Palm Beach, FL.

His adored grandchildren, Ezekiel and Grace Bailess and Maya Maps as well as several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be on Friday, March 17, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Beauty Mountain Baptist Church in Edmond with Pastor Joe Collins and Pastor Ray Sexton officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill.

Visitation will be held at Beauty Mountain Baptist Church on Thursday, March 16, 2017 from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM. Fellow Pastors will serve as pallbearers.
