Our wonderful husband, father and grandfather, Henry Milton "Buck" Aliff , 89, of Mossy, WV died on Thursday, 11/12/2015 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV.
Born 2/9/1926 at Westerly, WV he was the son of the late Brad and Charlottie Scarbro Aliff.
Mr. Aliff was a retired coal miner having worked at Milburn Colliery for 33 years. He was a member of the UMWA and Black Lung Association.
He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Buck leaves behind a devoted and loving family which includes his wife of 64 years, Mary Ann Holley Aliff; one son, Gary Aliff and wife, Cindy of Mossy; and three daughters, Karen Ferri and husband, David of Oak Hill, Geneva Ivey and husband, Virgil of Scarbro and Elizabeth McVey Poole of Mossy.
Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Frank Pauley, Felicia Pauley Gray, Jason McVey, Adam McVey, Craig Aliff, Ayden Aliff, Rylan Aliff and Joey Lee; and two great grandchildren, Derek Gray and Addisyn McVey.
Funeral services will be on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Dr. Emmitt Patterson officiating. Burial will be at the Aliff Cemetery, Mossy. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Sunday.
