Helen Ruth Hill Stephenson

Helen Ruth Hill Stephenson , 87, of Oak Hill, WV died on Monday, July 09, 2012 at her home. Born April 04, 1925 at Clay, WV she was the daughter of the late Hallie and Flora Johnson Hill. She was a retired Shoe Department Clerk for Hills Department Store in Beckley. Mrs. Stephenson was a member of the Fellowship Memorial Baptist Church, Oak Hill. Her first husband, Ralph Edmond Stephenson and a brother, James Hill preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband, Walter Russell Stephenson, two daughters, Marilyn Feazell and husband, Keith of Gatewood and Louella Carte and husband, Allen of Hico, two brothers, Robert Hill of Cedar Grove, IN and Lincoln Hill of Widen and one sister, Rebecca Lurlene Doss of Ovapa. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Amanda Kees and husband, Phillip of Concord, NC and Tammy Carte of Jacksonville, FL, grandsons, Wyatt Kees of Concord, NC and Hunter Carte of Jacksonville, FL and special buddies, Clara, Thad and Jacob Brown of Gatewood. Funeral services will be on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Pete Lokant officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
