Helen L. Calvert

Helen Lazarsky Calvert, 96, of Rt 1 (Salem-Gatewood Road) Fayetteville, WV died on Saturday, July 28, 2007 at her home following a lengthy illness. Born January 17, 1911 at Red Star, WV she was the daughter of the late Ed and Anna Seletyn Lazarsky. Mrs. Calvert was a member of the Harvey Chapel United Methodist Church. She was a retired store clerk. The family would like to offer a special thank you to Helen's caregivers, Ann Hatcher, Patty Fedukovich and Juanita Nottingham and to the staff of Hospice of Southern West Virginia for their loving care. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Franklin Calvert, Sr.; a daughter, Margaret A. Hawver and a son, James R. Calvert. Survivors include daughter, Betty J. Keaton of Cleveland, OH; four sons, John F. Calvert, Jr., Roy Edward Calvert and Willis L. Calvert all of Cleveland, OH and Ronald D. Calvert of Maui, Hawaii; fifteen grandchildren, twenty five great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. Services will be on Saturday, August 4, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Rev. Richard Keaton, her grandson, officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill WV. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Friday, August 3, 2007 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Family members will serve as pallbearers.
