Helen Slovak Bruns

Helen Slovak Lepto Bruns, 89, of Mount Hope, WV died on Wednesday, September 28, 2005 at home, with family by her side. Born August 29, 1916 at Trenton, NJ she was the daughter of the late John and Anna Osvai Slovak. Mrs. Bruns was a member of the SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Oak Hill, WV. She was an enthusiastic gardner and homemaker and well known for her beautiful garden flowers. She was a past member of the choir and Ladies Guild at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Kilsyth and sang for numerous weddings. She will be dearly missed by her family. Her first husband, John E. Lepto and her second husband, Ernest Bruns preceded her in death. Survivors include her son, John E. Lepto, Jr. (Ruth) of Warrenton, VA, son, Michael Lepto (Patsy) of Beckley, WV and daughter, Margaret Vargo of Belton, MO; 11 grandchildren, John, Bill, Laurie and Scott; Vonda and Tim; Michelle, Mark, Denise, Diana and David and 10 great grandchildre. Also by two step-grandchildren, Amy and Ernie and six step-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope, WV on Friday from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM with a Prayer Service at 7:30 PM . Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, October 1, 2005, at 11:00 A.M. at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Oak Hil, WV with Father John P. McDonough officiating. Entombment will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Prosperity WV.
