Hazel E. Bennett

Hazel Elizabeth Saunders Bennett, 87, of Oak Hill, WV died on Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at Hidden Valley Nursing and Rehab Center in Oak Hill, WV. Born February 06, 1921 at Sewell, WV she was the daughter of the late Ira Franklin and Hattie McDaniel Saunders. Mrs. Bennett was a member of the Summerlee Presbyterian Church and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lunda Paul Bennett, a daughter, June Travis and a sister, Eveleen Rowe. Survivors include two daughters, Deanna Nicosia and husband, Russ of Bumpass, VA and Anna Bennett and husband, Cabbie of Oak Hill; two sons, Basil "Jack" Bennett and wife, Carolyn of Charleston, WV and Paul Bennett, Jr. and wife, Catherine of Port St. Joe, FL; one sister, Irene Kelly of Columbus, OH; thirteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren Services will be on Sunday, February 17, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Rev. Jim Musgrave officiating. Burial will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity WV Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home on Saturday, February 16, 2008 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
