Hattie Lee Burnett Grimmett Painter, 90, of Mount Hope, WV died on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at her home. Born August 04, 1918 at Judson, WV she was the daughter of the late Noah L. and Sarah Harmon Burnett. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Painter was a member of the Meadow Bridge Missionary Baptist Church. Her first husband, Hobert Wilson Grimmett, second husband, Harry Lewis Painter, one daughter, Cora Anne Vandall, a step-daughter, Donna Nelson, six brothers and one sister all preceded her in death. Survivors include three sons, Charles Wilson Grimmett of Antioch, CA, Carl Edward Grimmett of Taylor, MI and Curtis Darrell Grimmett of Richmond, VA; four daughters, Esta Lee Hall of Toledo, OH, Thelma Jean Thomas of Alma, MI, Alice Louise Anderson of Maple Fork, WV and Phyllis Jane Menei of Mount Hope, step-daughter, Debra Painter address unknown; one sister, Della Mae Coberly of Toledo, OH; twenty-one grandchildren, thirty one great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren Services will be on Saturday, January 24, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope with Rev. Michael Whisman officiating. Burial will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity.
