Harry Irwin

Harry Irwin Jr., 78, of Dorchester, SC formerly of Gatewood, WV died on Tuesday, August 03, 2004 at Trident Medical Center in Charleston, SC following a long illness. Born September 30, 1925 at Upland, PA he was the son of the late Harry Irwin, Sr. and Viola Clough Irwin. He was a retired Factory Worker & Mechanic. Mr. Irwin was a member of the Low Country Baptist Church, Summerville, SC and past member of the Gatewood Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his brother, George Irwin. Survivors include wife, Romaine Ross Irwin; daughter, Ruth Ann (Ralph) Sweat of Dorchester, SC; brothers, Charles Irwin of Perry Point, MD and John and Wayne Irwin of Newark, DE; sister, Beatrice Richardson of Elkton, MD; grandchildren, Jimmy Sweat of Dorchester and Christine Sweat of North Charleston, SC; great grandchildren, Natalie & Ralph James Sweat of Dorchester, SC and Olivia, Christine and Charles Bowlwright of North Charleston, SC. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Saturday, August 7, 2004, from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. Services will be on Saturday, August 7, 2004 at 2:00 pmat Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Rev. Winston O'Neal and Rev. Harry Fuller officiating. Burial will be at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Oak Hill WV.
