Harrison Dale Sexton, I, age 66, of Oak Hill, WV, passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at St. Francis Hospital in Charleston, WV. Born June 12, 1944 in Oak Hill, WV he was the son of the late Roy H. and Modena Carte Sexton. Mr. Sexton was a retired welder having worked for Ohio Brass and served his country with the US Army during Viet Nam. He was preceded in death by one brother, Roy H. Sexton and by one sister, Doris Lee Treadway. Surviving are his companion, Sharon Woodson and her daughter, Stacy Woodson, both of Oak Hill, WV; his son, Dale Sexton, II and his wife Regina of Aiken, SC and his daughter, Denise Sexton Martin of Oak Hill; his three step sons, Louie Colon of Pensacola, FL, Eddie Colon of Oak Hill, WV and Chris Colon of Cleveland, OH ; Also surviving are his sister, Dorothy Stoner of Morganton, NC, 19 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at the Tyree Funeral Home Chapel, Oak Hill, WV with Rev. Paul Basham officiating. Burial will follow in the Legg Cemetery on Stringtown Road with military graveside services conducted by Oak Hill VFW Post 3110. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 P.M.
