Harold L. Painter

Harold L. Painter, 93, of Oak Hill, WV passed away Saturday, October 28, 2006, at Plateau Medical Center, Oak Hill following a short illness. Born September 17, 1913 at Oak Hill, WV he was the son of the late C. E. Painter and Lula Duncan Painter. Mr. Painter was a retired coin operator mechanic for Wallace and Wallce of Oak Hill. He also worked for C. and R. Music, Beckley. He was a member of the Virginia Street Baptist Church, Oak Hill and was a past member of R.E.A.C.T. of Oak Hill. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nora Susan Robinson Painter; a daughter, Carolyn Kirk; three brothers, C. Orton Painter, Ben C. Painter and Lewis E. Painter; and four sisters, Thelma Drumheller, Erma Hair, Gladys Houck and Evelyn Thompson. Survivors include two daughters, Linda Harding and husband, Gary and Nora L. Backus, all of Oak Hill, WV; eight grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. Service will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at the Tyree Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Hill, WV with Pastor Joseph Brown and Pastor Dennis Kincaidofficiating. Burial will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Oak Hill. Friends may call from 6 until 8 P. M. Monday, October 30, 2006 at the funeral home.
