Harold D. "Hackey" Stump, Sr.

Harold "Hackey" Dean Stump, Sr., 74, of Page, WV died on Monday, February 04, 2008 at St. Francis Hospital in Charleston, WV. Born October 19, 1933 at Page, WV he was the son of the late Posey L. and Emma Hodge Stump. He was a retired coal miner. Mr. Stump was a US Navy veteran. He was a member of the United Miner Workers of America, District 29, a lifetime member of the VFW Post #8366 of Gauley Bridge and a lifetime member of the USS Cabot Naval Club. Seven brothers and sisters preceded him in death. Survivors include wife, Shirley T. Brown Stump; son, Harold D. Stump, Jr. of Ingram Branch; three daughters, Carla Y. Asbury and husband, James of Kincaid, Anna Christine Stump of Page and Kimberly Rose Stump of Ingram Branch; three brothers, Kenneth James Stump of St. Petersburg, FL, Posey L. Stump of Kincaid and Jackie L. Stump of Indiana; three sisters, Margie Brown of Page, Iva Jean Shocky of Oak Hill and Delma Prather of Contintment Island, VA and by twelve grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Services will be on Thursday, February 7, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Rev. Gerald Grant officiating. Entombment will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Prosperity WV with military graveside rites by VFW Post #3110 of Oak Hill. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 6, 2008 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
