Harold Hamilton Garrett

Harold Hamilton Garrett, age 83, of Fayetteville, WV passed away on Saturday,May 8, 2010 at Plateau Medical Center after a extended illness. Born August 23, 1926 at Gatewood, WV, he was the son of the late Ernest and Ella Daniels Garrett. Harold retired from the maintainance department at the Fayette County Board of Education and was a veteran having served with the US navy during WWII and later served 11 years with the Army National Guard. He attended the Church of the Nazerene in Oak Hill. Surviving are his wife, Shirley Bess Garrett of Fayetteville; step-children, Joseph, Steven, Bryan, John, Kelly and Matthew Lies; one brother, Thomas Garrett of Glen Jean and two sisters, Beulah Garrett and Margaret A. Sizemore both of Oak Hill. Graveside committal services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 10, 2010 at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Oak Hill with Pastor Jerry Bush officiating.
