Harold L. Dufour

Harold Lee Dufour, Sr. 73, of Gatewood, WV died on Wednesday, June 21, 2006 at his home. Born November 04, 1932 at Caperton, WV he was the son of the late George and Margaret McCormick Dufour. He was a retired Surveyor for the WV Dept. of Highways. Harold was a great WVU and Chicago Cubs fan. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict having attained the rank of Sgt 1st Class. His wife, Ruth Marilee Bearfield Dufour and twin daughters, Barbara Ann and Debra Ann Dufour preceded him in death. Survivors include two sons, Michael Dufour of Lynchburg, VA and Harold L. Dufour, Jr. of Johnson City, TN; four daughters, Yvette Dufour of Oak Hill, Ruth A. Dufour and fiancee, Randy A. Hornsby, of Danese, Djuna Dufour of Oak Hill and Kathy Dufour of Akron, OH; six brothers, George Dufour, Frank Dufour, Richard Dufour, Danny Dufour and James Dufour all of Ashtabula, OH and Jack Dufour of Cool Ridge, WV and two sisters, Evelyn Birchfield of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Emma of Ashtabula, OH. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home on Monday, June 26, 2006, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Funeral service will be Tuesday, June 27, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Pastor Jimmy Hornsby officiating. Burial will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity, WV with military graveside rites by VFW Post 3110, Oak Hill. Pallbearers will be Joshua Gordon, George Kayee, Danny Dufour, Daniel Gordon, Randy Hornsby and Richard Dufour.
