Hallie A. Stearns

Hallie Agness Collins Stearns , 101, of Scarbro, WV died on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at Fayette Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Fayetteville, WV. Born April 27, 1909 at Workman's Creek, WV she was the daughter of the late James and Jane Workman Collins. Mrs. Stearns was of the Baptist faith and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence L. Stearns; son, William Davis Stearns; a grandson, Daniel Williams; sisters, Elvie Klink, Belva Workman, Dillie Stover, Cassie Collins and Della Collins and brothers, Emmitt Collins and Dana Collins. Survivors include one daughter, Lorena Bernice Williams of Paint Creek/Pax Road; seven grandchildren, Gertie Treadway, Robert M. Williams, David R. Williams, Lora D. Williams, James F. Williams, and Billy Stearns; seventeen great grandchildren and twenty-nine great great grandchildren. Services will be on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope in Mount Hope. with the Rev. Scott Farnsworth officiating. Burial will be at Workman's Creek Cemetery at Workman's Creek. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
