Gracie Jewell Settle Cochran

Our loving mother and sister, Gracie Jewell Steele Settle Cochran, 81, of Roanoke, VA formerly of Page, WV died on Friday, March 09, 2007 at Pleasant Ridge Nursing Home in Roanoke, VA. Born April 20, 1925 at Pea Ridge, WV she was the daughter of the late Marvin and Priscilla Jane Bryant Steele. She was a homemaker. Her first husband, Franklin Lacy Settle preceded her in death. Survivors include two daughters, Frances Settle and husband, Homer of Pelion, SC and Barbara E. Humphrey-Ashby and husband, Randy of Lexington, SC; one son, Thomas Franklin Settle and wife, Patricia of Roanoke, VA; two brothers, Lloyd Steele and wife, Velma of Salt Lake City, Utah and Paul Waugh and wife, Patricia of Lynchburg, VA; one sister, Hazel Conner and husband, Norman of Oak Hill, WV; seven grandchildren, Ronald Settle, Gary Settle, Brian Settle, Matthew Settle, Anna Settle, J. D. Humphrey, II and Stephanie East and 10 great grandchildren, Christopher, Jerry Lee, James, Dylan, Bryan, Amber, Daniel, Chelsea, Amber Leann and Stanley. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Monday, March 12, 2007, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Services will be on Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Rev. David Richardson officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill WV.
