Gracie Harris

Gracie McKinney Harris, 95, of Mount Hope, WV died on Saturday, April 23, 2005 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV following an extended illness. Born September 04, 1909 at Summers County, WV she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Amanda McKinney. Mrs. Harris was a member of the Assembly of God, Mount Hope, WV and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Harris; a son, Troy W. Harris; one brother and three sisters. Survivors include one son, Richard Harris and wife, Nancy of Mount Hope; daughter-in-law, Vicki Harris of Dothan; sister-in-law, Norma McKinney of Hinton; three grandchildren, Vikki Fox, Richard W. Harris and Timothy Harris; and six great grandchildren. She is also survived by her many friends and her caregivers on Floor 1-C at Pinecrest in Beckley. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope on Tuesday, April 26, 2005, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Services will be on Wednesday, April 27, 2005 at 1:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope with Rev. Jessie Parker officiating. Burial will be at Harrah Cemetery, Backus Mountain WV.
