Gracie Evans

Gracie Mae LesterEvans, 95, of Cirtsville, WV died Saturday, March 11, 2006 at Hilltop Health Care Center of Alzheimer's disease. Born June 29, 1910 at Cirtsville, WV, a daughter of the late Giles and Chloe Steagall Lester. She was homemaker and a member of the Packs Branch Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Virgil Ray Evans on July 17, 1958, three brothers, Fred, Roscoe, and Frank Lester; two sisters, Dilla Evans and Ruby Vass. Survivors include, two sons, Alex Evans & wife, Florence of Cirtsville and Ab Evans & wife, Karen of Mount Hope; two grandchildren, Lori Deal of Mount Hope and Jason Evans of Morgantown; two great grandchildren, Cody Deal and Robert Alex Hughes of Mount Hope; one sister, Mabel Bailey of Beckley. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, March 14, 2006, at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel, Mount Hope, WV with Rev. Sam Vance and Rev. Gary Williams officiating. Burial will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity, WV. Friends may call Monday, March 13, 2006, from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Jim Withrow, Ray Horrocks, Eugene Bailey, Butch Tyree, Bill Markham and Gary Painter.
