Goldie F, Waddell

Golda Faye Harvey Waddell, 88, of Oak Hill, WV died Saturday, September 2, 2006, at her home. Born May 30, 1918, at Beaver, WV she was the daughter of the late Brady Britton and Martha Ellen Meadows Harvey. Mrs. Waddell was a homemaker and a member of the Fellowship Memorial Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Nellie June Reitz; three brothers, Don, Dorsey and James Harvey; five sisters, Merle Massie, Pearl Massie, Nora Turner, Ruby Farley and Jeanetta Harvey. Survivors include her husband, Gilbert W. Waddell of Oak Hill, WV; a daughter, Ellen Joan Jones (Lewis E.) of Lewisburg, WV; a son-in-law, Harry A. Reitz of Dayton, Ohio; special nephews, Charles Massie and Harold “Buddy” Harvey; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 5, 2006 at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Hill, WV with the Rev. Daniel Rice officiating. Burial will follow in High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, September 4, 2006 at the funeral home. A reception celebrating Mrs. Waddell’s life will be held at the Fellowship Memorial Baptist Church following the committal service at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill.
